2-3 FOOT AUSTREE® HYBRIDS FOR WINDBREAKS

 

Our 2-3 foot bareroot windbreak trees have been selected to give you lower lateral branches.

These trees are ideal for windbreaks, privacy screens, noise and dust barriers.

The trees arrive in bundles and the roots are carefully wrapped in a plastic bag with peat moss.

Suitable for planting in zones 3-10

 

When planting the AUSTREE® Hybrid to be used as a vision screen or as a windbreak, we recommend that you plant the trees three to five feet apart. Most people plant these trees in a single row three feet apart, but they can also be planted in double staggered rows five feet on center to create an even more solid wind or sight barrier.

These trees are ideal for windbreaks, privacy screens, noise and dust barriers, wildlife habitat and erosion control.

The 2-3 foot windbreak trees come in bundles of 10. Water and fertilizer are the two keys to great success and optimum growth. Weed control using WeedBlock® is an effective and time saving way to conserve water and it reduces competition from weeds and grasses.

If you want to make your windbreaks or hedges thicker, give your trees a "haircut". Trim trees six to eight inches off of the top branches to make your trees fuller and thicker. You can do this anytime of the year.
